Hearing Aid Styles - OTE
On-the-Ear (OTE) hearing aids are the newest style of hearing aid. They are smaller than the older style BTE hearing aids and they have a very thin tube that delivers sound into the ear canal.
The main advantage to this syle is that the ear canal remains completely open. This eliminated that "down in a barrel" complaint that often occurs with other style aids. This style of aid is most appropriate for someone with a high frequency hearing loss.
