My first professional job was as a High School teacher for deaf children at the Governor Baxtor School for the Deaf in Prtland, Maine. I then taught third grade at the New York City Scool for the Deaf in Manhattan. After that I became a parent counselor for parents with newly identified hearing impaired infants. I traveled all over Long Island meeting with parents and teaching them how to best help their hearing impaired infant.
My first audiology job was at the New York League for the Hard of Hearing. I was one of eight audiologist in a large audiology clinic. It was an excellent position that provided a great opportunity for professional growth.
My second audiology job was the audiologist for the Oregon State School for the Deaf. I worked as the school audioloist and as the supervisor of the Evaluation and Services Center. It was while I was working in this position that I started Pacific Audiology Center.
I also worked as an adjunt professor at Western Oregon State College. I taught graduate degree courses in Audiology and Aural Rehabilitation.
